Electronic cigarettes are growing in popularity as they don't have the inconvenience and stigma that traditional conventional tobacco products have. They can be used inside restaurants, bars and are not banned from public places. There is no smoke or flame, no lurking odor on hair or clothing, it doesn't ruin your motorcar upholstery or furniture with burns or smells and there is no cigarette tax of one to over four dollars per pack.
By producing a mist that is inhaled, the e-cigarette mimics the action of smoking a traditional tobacco product. It works very much like a nebulizer. The electrical mechanism, creates heat or an ultrasonic wave to vaporize a glycerin fluid into a mist. The inhaled mist has the flavor of nicotine and creates the appearance and physical similarity of using a traditional cigarette.
There are three parts to the apparatus. The cartridge, an atomizer, and a battery unit to extend to unit off of. Some manufactures are producing an adapted mouthpiece for people who drip the fluid on the atomizer and not use the cartridge and there is a disposable part that is a cartridge and atomizer combined, called the cartomizer.
The cartridge is a plastic tube with openings at top and bottom. An absorbent material, within the tube, is soaked with the glycerin fluid. When the liquid is heated it turns into a vapor and passes through the mouth piece to be inhaled. After use, the cartridge can be disposed of or refilled for the next time.
The part that heats the fluid for inhalation, is the atomizer. With frequent use, you will have a sediment buildup or the unit will in reality burn out and have to be replaced.
The unit has a rechargeable lithium ion battery or uses a USB port to power the device. There is in addition a portable charging case that has a huge rechargeable battery inside that can be employed to renew the smaller battery within the individual smoking units, making it easier to take it anywhere and use it anytime.
Manufactures produce the nicotine solution in flavors that include fruit flavors, cola, coffee, chocolate, vanilla, caramel and more. They also produce flavors to mimic well known cigarette brands as well as a regular tobacco flavor and menthol. The flavored liquids are traded individually for applying in the refillable cartridges.
They are made to have the feel of cigarettes. The cost to get started is any place from fifty dollars up to one hundred for kits. Exchanging the various parts will run from eight dollars for a couple of cartridges to thirty- for a group of ten cigar cartridges. Most e-cigarettes are reusable with refillable parts.
More men and women are beginning to use electronic cigarettes because of the advantages they have over regular tobacco product. They have no first or second hand smoke, no odors are left on cloths and hair, they are not flammable, a person doesn't have the added tax per pack and according the manufactures the e-cigarette cost less to use per unit.
