The Whistler Pro 78 Radar Detector features Real Voice Alerts, Twin Low Profile Alert Periscopes, Blue Text Display, Three Filter Modes, Total Band Protection (with selectable Bands), RSID (Radar Signature ID), Stay Alert, Alert Priority, Enhanced High Performance, is Intellicord-ready, detects Laser Atlanta Stealth Mode, an Auto Dim Mode and has an optional Vehicle Battery Saver.

The Real Voice Alert says "X Band" when an X Band signal is detected, and alerts Low Profile Alert Periscopes, 3 City Modes/Highway Mode, Stay Alert, Quiet/Auto-Quiet Modes, Alert Priority, Vehicle Battery Power Saver Mode and Safety Warning System (SWS).

Low Profile Alert Periscopes are an additional visual warning. The two extra LED lights flash off and on when the device alarms to give a special visual alert.

Blue Text Display has incredible vibrant LED, for intense visual confirmation for signals being detected, strength of the signal, and shows the operation modes that are in use.

Auto Dim Mode provides an automatic switch between bright and dimmed settings for the text displayed for the variations of light conditions.

Vehicle Battery Saver Mode will automatically turn off the detector after 3 hours if you've forgotten to. The detectors timer will reset if unplugged, turned on or off, or a button has been pressed prior to its 6 hour expiration. It will warn audibly and visually before shutdown.

Filter Mode is for the times when a radar detector might emit the same frequency as police radars and possibly causes the device to false alarm. Occasionally a detector will show a signal from other detectors in nearby vehicles, and the device will go through the Filter Mode protocol to check it to verify if it's legitimately police, or the false alarm from other vehicles.

3 City Models/Highway Mode. Highway Mode gives visual and audible warnings of laser/radar systems and staying at full maintenance and stays in the default setting for laser/radar detectors. The City Mode will help lower automatic door openers plus burglar alarms by giving an alert, then being quiet unless the signal becomes powerful.

Stay Alert is to test your alertness. Between 30-60 seconds after it's activated it will use an alert sound, then volume, city or mute must be pressed within 3-5 seconds. If anything is pressed within 3-5 seconds the cycle is repeated, if nothing pressed then it will alarm loudly and shows a visual alert.

Quiet/Auto-Quiet Mode. When Quiet is pressed before signal detection puts it in Auto-Quiet Mode, which reduces the volume after a detection. Pressing it during a detection will silence it.

Safety Warning System is to inform you of the highway safety.

Intellicord-ready for the Intellicord to be added to the Whistler, so the radar detector can switch settings like power on/off, dim/dark, city models and also quiet/auto quiet remotely and easy without complications.
