Paint sprayers are a convenient way to quickly liven up your home. Whether you are painting the inside or the outside of your home, a paint sprayer is an exceptional choice to get the job done correctly. However, there are many important tips that you should be aware of when deciding to use a paint sprayer inside the home.

First, remember that even though you are using a sprayer to apply your paint, there will be fumes build up in the home. Those fumes can be particularly hazardous for those with health conditions such as asthma. Anytime you are using a paint sprayer, it is a good idea to purchase a mask to keep the fumes from being inhaled. Also, if possible, open a window to let the air out of the room.

Paint sprayers can save the consumer time and money. First, when spraying the paint on the walls, you will use far much less paint, than if you are rolling it on. Also, the time you spend painting will be cut in half if you purchase a paint sprayer. Remember, it is very important to cover surrounding areas with plastic to prevent getting paint on household items. Drop cloths should be placed on the floors as well, to avoid an unpleasant mess on the carpets. Be careful, because if there is a breeze where you are using the paint sprayer, paint may get everywhere.

Before using a paint sprayer, it is a good idea to practice painting a large area. You can use an old piece of plywood to determine if the settings are correct on your sprayer. It may take a little bit of time to get the paint sprayer adjusted right so that you can paint your room. Adjust the settings until you find the right one for the job that you are completing.

When using the sprayer, you will hold it about a foot away from the target surface. Be sure to spray straight, and overlap each layer. Try to move your paint sprayer approximately three inches per second for a beautiful, even coat on your surface. Be very cautious that when you come to the end of a strip that you release the trigger and start over. Never hold the trigger while beginning a new strip; you may end up with paint all over the ceilings.

It is vital to remember that it only takes about fifteen minutes before the paint in the sprayer will begin to harden if not being used. For that reason, it is important to take short breaks and get back to the job before the paint hardens in the paint sprayer. Be sure that when you are ready to clean the sprayer that you turn off and unplug the unit. Also, always wear gloves and goggles to protect your body from harm when using this tool. When these steps have been followed, your painted room will appear elegant and luxurious.
