A shower bath combines a shower and a bathtub in one. This is usually to save space. For some this is also to save on costs. Having a separate shower and tub could cost you much not only because of the fixtures you will use but also because of the cost of installation. Though this saving thing may seem something that would compromise aesthetics, do not worry because shower baths can still be stylish.

There are shower baths that follow the regular shape of baths. Rectangular and oval baths are common. They have the shower on the end where the bath is mounted on the wall. It has a shower screen to prevent water from spraying to the floor.

There are also those that have a special end for the shower area. That end is curved to give ample space for bathing. It is in this curved end where designers usually exercise their creativity. They make the curve end in different styles. They also have shower screens on this end.

Shower screens are important components of a shower bath. As said above, they prevent water from being sprayed on the floor. They also come in various designs.

A common design for shower screen is the sliding full bath enclosure. This means the shower screen lines the entire length of the bath. It goes from the head of the bath to the foot of the bath. It gives maximum protection. The problem with this design is that it can make the bathroom look too cramped. If you have a small space, you can opt to use an over bath screen of the full bath enclosure. It provides protection only where it is absolutely needed.

There is cheaper option than a shower screen. You can use a shower curtain. In a sense, it can serve the same purpose especially if properly installed. However, it compromises the look of the bathroom. If aesthetics is important to you then it wouldn't be a very good choice. Shower curtains are also less hygienic. It allows the growth of bacteria and other germs. You would need to clean them often to prevent this as opposed to shower screens that just need to be dried with a rag.

Another important part of shower baths are the showerheads. It is nice to note that there are a lot of designs of showers available now. You can choose the one that would best fit your bathroom especially if it has a certain theme. Various showerheads also give different effects and pressure. Some offer massaging effects. Others make water flow like rain. Make sure to get what you want.

Shower baths can be used to make your bathroom look good and at the same time practical.
