When it comes to men’s underwear, the choice of either comfort or sex appeal can be quite confusing especially to women. Men have least concern about the choice of women’s underwear, and some imagine that thongs or g-strings are perfect for all occasions. Nevertheless, women place high priority in comfort and sex appeal when it comes to underwear. Men on the other hand simply consider the size and color without giving much thought to the undergarment itself.
The reason why women have more concern when they choose undergarments is because they are raised that way. Girls are always told that cotton is the best material for their underwear, and correct bra size is crucial for breast health. Similarly, women are aware of the effect that a perfect pair of lingerie can have on their partners. On the flip side, men hardly give or obtain advice about underwear. No one tells them that if they persistently put on tight underwear, it might spell doom for their sperm count. Other men do not appreciate the value of sex appeal in underwear and will put on anything so long as it covers their extremities.
Nonetheless, times are changing and so are men’s perceptions about underwear. They have started to grasp the value of style, comfort and sex appeal when it comes to their bare essentials. Designers have taken the cue and it is now possible to obtain hosiery for men, something that was unheard of back in the day. The slack white cotton boxer, once a bestseller, has lost its place to more stylish designer undergarments.
Boxer shorts have given way to Lycra trunks and boxer briefs. Modern day undergarments are made from special materials that fit close to the skin and hold everything snugly in place. Contemporary underwear has spacious front pouches and strengthened side and lateral seams for maximum comfort. Athletes and gym enthusiasts can obtain special underwear made from fabrics with antibacterial properties that wicks moisture from the skin.
Other men prefer trunks to boxer briefs since they do not show any lines in the back. Those who live in cold regions can obtain stylishly designed thermal underwear. Surprisingly, some men prefer thongs to underwear given by the rate at which they fly of the shelves. Most of the top designers have come up with different styles of men’s thongs and g-strings.
All in all, men should move with the times and realize the dual function of underwear, style and comfort. Sex appeal comes in later given that people have differing tastes and preferences. Choose comfortable and stylish underwear which you will not feel embarrassed being seen with.
