BBC 3 Want Couples To Take Part In A Love and Money TV Documentary

BBC 3 Love and MoneyRenegade Pictures and BBC 3 filming a brand new BBC 3 documentary about the effect that money problems have on relationships. The programme will be presented by immersive journalist Cherry Healey and will form part of a series which is to be broadcast early next year.

Cherry Healey has presented several programmes for BBC 3 covering a variety of topics from drinking to parenting- she was even filmed having her daughter Coco. The programmes are genuinely light hearted and non-judgemental with their approach, whilst also dealing with the heart of some very important issues.

BBC 3 Documentary About Love and Money

This new BBC 3 programme about love and money sees her meet a number of couples, all whose relationships have been impacted by money in some way. The subject is extremely relevant, giving the existing economic climate, with many families even struggling to pay the bills, let alone afford Christmas presents.

The economic downturn has seen an incredible rise in couples arguing far more, with money worries being the bone of contention. Relate recently reported a rise in the demand for its marital counselling services, whilst the Office for National Statistics reveals divorce rates have risen by 6 per cent as the economy worsens.

The BBC 3 programme hopes to highlight some of these pressures that a great many couples are facing currently in the UK, specifically in the lead up to Christmas. By featuring genuine couples that happen to be facing money problems, it will show people that they are not alone and that there is help out there for those that need it. It will also hopefully demonstrate that in the end love conquers most.

The production team at Renegade Pictures are currently in the process of casting for the programme and are seeking couples who want to take part. They are looking for couples who've been hit hard by the recession and would be interested in allowing cameras into their lives for a day.

Please leave your thoughts and experiences below about how this recession has affected your relationship with your partner and just how the lack of money has impacted on the love you and your partner have for each other caused by the lack of money from debt and unemployment.
