When you are in this part of Australia, one can never get enough of the Eyre Peninsula. It is hailed as the Seafood Frontier of Australia and there are tours that take you through a culinary journey while combining the best of coastal attractions. One of the really great things you will see in this region is the Flinders Ranges. There is so much to explore here.

Create your tour plans such that you visit some of the oldest mountain ranges in this region. Once you are there, you can look all the way down to Alligator Gorge. You could even dare to walk on the narrows that are present and then hop onto the terraces that are a result of an ancient sea bed now coming to the fore. You can also plan to visit the Warren Gorge and take a break at the Quorn. Here is the Pichi Richi Railways. This is a historical one as it linked railway lines of different gauges. It became outdated soon after the Indian-Pacific made its maiden no-stop journey from Sydney to Perth.

Every evening as the sun sets you will have your meal prepared fresh for you and at this time you will be able to explore all the gorges that Flinders ranges have to offer you. If you are lucky you will also get a chance to look at the Yellow-Footed Wallaby.

For those who are majorly taken in by the wildlife of an area, the Eyre Peninsula has a lot to offer. This area is not accessible by air and is generally given a miss by several travelers who are on a time constraint. But if you choose to come here you will go home with experiences like no other. Make a stop at the Dutchman’s Stern Conservation park. You can walk to the topmost range here and admire the semblance of a sailor’s ship that you will see here.

You will also pass by Pt Augusta, Iron Knob and onto Kimba. Also make it a point to visit Venus Bay. you can walk along the coastline and if you are lucky will catch a glimpse of dolphins surfing along the water. At the Venus Bays you should make it a point to visit the mind boggling Talia Caves and of course the Lake Newland Sand Dunes.

There is so much to see in the Eyre Peninsula that many people feel that hiring a professional tourist operator will help them make the right decision when it comes to places to visit.
