If you have a dishwasher that stands freely in your kitchen, you may consider purchasing a built in dishwasher instead. The same goes for your stove. Today, many stoves can be found that are built right into your countertops. Removal of your stove could open up space and create additional room for a kitchen table, or just extra space. However, it is recommended that you use bar stools in a small kitchen rather than a table and chairs set.

The final thing that you can do when remodeling kitchens, is to paint the walls. By painting the walls a light color such as white or beige, you will create the appearance of a larger kitchen.
