In the past I have been accused of loving all things "apple"! Loosely translated this means I have a tendency to buy up to date technology which is incredibly expensive albeit very functional. Admittedly I have recently been satisfying my love of "Apple" products with the purchase of both an iPhone and iPad.
The products were both gifts to myself which I admit seem a little indulgent when most of the world is feeling the pinch. In my defense I had sold other items on eBay in order to acquire this state of the art technology. And so far I am ridiculously impressed.
Let's start with the phone. Firstly it looks great but that is academic with a device which has so much to offer. It has a voice recognition system like no other in the world and you can virtually ask it to everything without touching the screen. Ask it about the weather, to read a text or to access an internet site! It can do it! Impressed yet?
And the iPad is definitely going to replace my laptop. With all the functionality of a normal computer it is also surprisingly easy to type on. The integrated keyboard is very easy to use even though it may be slightly smaller than a laptop keyboard. And as is usual with Apple I can imagine that there will soon be a larger iPad for sale that will completely replace old style lap tops.
Of course there was a recent article which highlighted that the purchase and running of an iPhone or iPad could be compared with buying a second hand Jaguar Wiltshirecar. Perhaps so but I think I have more fun with my newly acquired products than I would ever have with an old Mazda Mx-5!
